For nearly 24 years, Jennifer has served as a licensed/ordained Assemblies of God minister, serving on the pastoral staff of three Bay Area churches. Through the years she has traveled and ministered in 16 countries and spoken at many camps, retreats and conferences. She is most energized by helping people and ideas develop and loves the coaching and facilitating process. She believes that the process is often as important as the end goal. Aside from helping people advance their God-inspired goals, Jennifer loves to spend time with her husband Dwight and their son Keenan, meets monthly for dinner with her childhood friends, has Peet’s Italian Roast brewing daily in her kitchen, and is a serious foodie. Jennifer dreams of living in a coastal town and plans to continue her education. She loves the people and mission of VCC/VCS and is grateful that God has allowed her family to serve here in different capacities and seasons starting in 2002. She loves her husband, “her girls” in the youth group, soy chai latte’s from Starbucks, Grandpa’s famous home made caramel squares and buttermilk pancakes.
House Church | Tawni Garcia, House Church Coordinator
We are never alone TOGETHER…
Tawni Garcia is Coordinator of Community Life at Valley Christian Center. She and her family have attended and served here since 2006. Tawni’s passion is to connect individuals and families to House Churches (our version of small groups) where they can experience the unconditional love and acceptance of Christ through others. She recognizes that “belonging often comes before believing” and that most of what we learn is “caught not taught,” so she works hard, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to connect people to the right group at the right time. Tawni’s heart is to see our members grow and thrive in the body of Christ during every season of life. Outside of ministry, Tawni enjoys spending time with her husband of 15 years and their two boys – Grant and Cameron. She is also pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
