We slept in my car that night. My two-year old son and I woke up tired, frightened and hungry. We went to Open Heart Kitchen in Dublin to get a hot meal when a woman in a “CityServe” shirt came over to us. I told her our story and that we had no place to sleep. She arranged housing support through CityServe churches for ten days until we could get into Shepherd’s Gate. Once there, I found faith, friends and, can you believe it, a job. I am so thankful to God for all the help we received from CityServe churches! It is more than I ever imagined possible!

WHAT BETTER WAY TO REACH OUR CITIES THAN THROUGH SERVING? CityServe of the Tri-Valley provides many opportunities for you to live your faith and represent Jesus’ love for those in need in our local communities. CityServe was birthed at Valley Christian Center in 2009, and God has grown it to be an independent 501(c)3 with 18 churches currently partnering to work together as Christ’s one Church.

We serve by volunteering through over 25 Tri-Valley non-profit organizations focused on human service needs. More than 20,000 volunteer hours were invested in our communities in 2013 by CityServe member church volunteers! At CityServe, we also coordinate resources between the faith-based community, non-profits, schools, businesses and government agencies through bi-monthly Community Meetings.
