We all know the busyness of life in the Bay Area can often take precedence over setting time aside to serve Jesus by serving others. But this should not be! A large part of living as a true disciple of Christ is not only living by holy inspiration, but also by showing we are his disciples through holy perspiration!
On Saturday April 30 (8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon), Valley Christian Center will be serving Jesus by serving the City of Dublin during its annual “Volunteer Day,” which is part of Dublin Pride Week. 100 members of VCC are needed to help beautify the cities parks and schools. You can sign up yourself as well as your family and friends by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by checking the box on the backside of your Connection Card during our Sunday services. Sign ups will close on Sunday, April 17, so please mark this day on your calendar and send me an email!
*Volunteers will meet at 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 30, next to the basketball courts at Emerald Glen Park on Gleason Drive for registration sign-in and a continental breakfast. Volunteers will be given project instructions and then head out to their sites. After your assignment is complete, usually by noon, all volunteers are invited to return for a hot dog barbecue hosted by the Dublin Lions Club.
