The Mission of Our Church

Chris Rogers   -

John 4:21-26 states, “ ‘Woman’ Jesus replied ‘believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.’ The woman said, ‘I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.’ Then Jesus declared, ‘I, the One speaking to you – I am He.’

As a church we cling to our Savior’s call to worship! While our culture and society roars the sound of self-worship we choose the opposite. Day and night, night and day, we relentlessly pursue to “Enter His gates with Thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation,” (Psalm 100:4-5).

At Valley Christian, we exist to become the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. We believe that worship is so much more than singing songs. Worship is a life devoted to seeking the face of God! Laying before him offerings of extravagant love and radical surrender, we pursue to know Him. Our desire, more than having a great worship band and great teaching every week is to release the Holy Spirit to bring revival to this land. Our prayer is that an outpouring of the Holy Spirit would wash over the church as we unite to push back the darkness! Entering in the Kingdom of God throughout all the earth with praise and thanksgiving. That we as a church would hasten the day of our Lords glorious return!
