FIRST TIME GUESTS
We know that coming to a new church for the first time can often be intimidating. Our Hospitality Team would love to help make it a smooth, easy and enjoyable experience for you and your family. When you come for your visit, someone will greet you in the lobby and help get you and your family where you need to be. Our team of dedicated volunteers will do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience possible.
Our worship will not be perfect. It will not always be pretty; but it will be real. We believe this is what the Father seeks.
Religion is a game of pretence, if not pretending. At Valley Christian, we want none of that. Rather than give into our fears, we lean into our faith. Rather than project a false reality of ourselves and our situation, we choose to be honest with God and with others. With all its imperfections and irregularities, we choose to make our current situation a place of worship.
Worship is divine tag. We chase after God and occasionally He slows down enough for us to catch up to Him.
Such moments are blissful, ecstatic, joy unspeakable and full of glory. God’s invasion of this world is not something we watch happen, but something we join with God in making happen. The invitation to draw near to God and be apart of Heaven’s building program on Earth is very real and very fulfilling.
Worship is both talking to God and listening to Him. What we have found, though, is what God says to us is so much more critical than what we can ever to say to Him.
Yes, we have much on our heart we want to say to God. Many pertinent issues we want to process before His throne of grace. Yet, we purposely and intentionally take each time each day to hear His whisper. To be still in His presence. To push out the noise of the distractions of this world. Why? Because His voice is our delight. His thoughts our inspiration. His ideas our joy.
History ends with a representative of worship from every tribe, every people and every culture glorifying God around His throne. The church exists to bring those moments to earth now.
Unity is an elusive thing. We all want to live it. But, in reality, few of us ever experience it. Why? Because there is a tendency to build our own kingdom, establish our own path and forge our own future. At Valley Christian, we view ourselves as collaborators, not competitors. We are merely one player on the team God has assembled. We see the bigger picture of what God wants to do in our Valley and we make decisions of what is best for the kingdom.
