We endorse the tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. This list is derived from the official Statement of Fundamental Truths. To learn more, visit the Assemblies of God website.
At Valley Christian, we endorse the tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to.
In addition to these truths, here is a list of beliefs we have as an organization that help shape our services and various ministries.
Communion is a time of remembrance in which we focus on the sacrifice that Jesus made at the cross for our sin, and the expectation of His return. We invite anyone to partake that believes in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and has invited Him into their life as savior.
VCC baptizes those that have made a decision to turn away from sin and to identify their life with Jesus. The scriptures teach that baptism is for believers. Therefore, we do not baptize babies or infants but will dedicate them to God in a separate ceremony.
VCC welcomes individuals from many different backgrounds and walks of life to become a part of our church family through membership. In doing so, you commit yourself to God and to other members by doing the following: Protecting the unity of the church; Sharing in the responsibilities of the church; Serving the ministries of the church and Supporting the testimony of the church. As an individual outside of church, your life should reflect love, faith, purity, and charity.
Those called to leadership positions within or associated with VCC should exemplify a Godly lifestyle that includes; a Christ-like character, a good reputation, personal integrity, spiritual maturity, sexual purity, consistent church attendance, and faithful tithing. VCC believes in appointing the right person to the right assignment regardless of gender or age.
VCC supports the historical Christian view of marriage, which is a life long covenant between a man and a woman. VCC Pastors will only officiate weddings for those that are in agreement with this belief, and it’s facilities used for ceremonies that honor biblical guidelines.
Giving is central to the nature and activity of God and the people who claim His name. Returning to God what is His in the tithe, offerings for local and global needs, and voluntary services to our community are fundamental expressions of the Christian faith.
