Honor Must Resist Contempt

Not everyone has the same access. Not everyone starts the game of life at the same point. Not everyone leaves their house each day and sees opportunity. Some only see fear, inequity and privilege. Some see the topic of privilege as a political conversation. Jesus makes it a personal one. “Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me,” (Matthew 25:40). Jesus calls us to willingly redirect the things we possess for the sake of others. For Jesus, sacrifice was greater than privilege. To follow him well, it must be for us too.
