Student Leadership Hour

It’s been a long time coming!! We have finally relaunched our student ministry team in the youth group.

We haven’t met as a group since May of 2016, and after we took the summer off, launched Sunday night youth group and finished the Holiday Season, we are finally ready to go back to basics… and build up the students in our ministry.

Our philosophy of student leadership has changed in the past four years of being here. We have gone through big teams, small teams, high accountability, zero accountability, high pressure and responsibility, no responsibility, meeting often, to meeting irregularly. We are now in a new season of trying out student leadership.

Here’s our current model, our current goals… and we’ll see how it goes!!

OUR GOAL is…. to empower and build up ANY student who seeks leadership or influence in the youth group.

We do this by meeting every Tuesday in the Student Center from 3:30-4:30pm.
All students are invited, and anyone who shows up will have a voice in the conversation.
Any student that shows up will be taught, loved, heard, and given a platform to influence the youth group.
When students come, they are able to be taught about the Bible and about Godly, servant leadership, and they will learn practical skills like planning games, events, promotions, and how they can serve in the youth group.
We have a list of teachers and pastors lined up to come in and speak to our leadership students each week, and they’ll pour their expertise and special experience into these kids.

We are so excited to be back with our students each week on a deeper, more personal level. Leadership Hour is not something we want to miss ever! It’s the fuel to our week and it’s going to be a great year!
