VCC plowed through a milestone a few weeks ago. We have been diligently preparing for the launch of our second service (which began September 13 at 9:00 & 11:00 AM) through our “Join a Team” Campaign. Without the help of well over one hundred volunteers each week, we would not be able to provide the amazing services and ministry care that VCC provides to all who step on our campus.
The Worship Arts Department took the opportunity to provide insight and instruction to all of our team, both those newly interested and those who have been serving for many years. We laughed together through some team building exercises and listened to some amazing leaders.
Paul and Natasha Limones shared on platform presence, tips on appearance and preparing for leading worship as well as serving with excellence. Rhonda Kennedy shared on her experiences as a worship leader and her calling to serve as well as preparing for run-through times and flow during our services. She reminded us that our worship costs us something and we, as David, should not give to the Lord that which costs us nothing. (2 Samuel 24:24) I talked about the character of a leader, the qualifications of a leader and some of my expectations for ministering on the worship teams.
I am very blessed to have such amazing people to serve alongside and I am proud of everyone and their effort to glorify God through their design. I am always grateful to Sandy Brunson for her amazing leadership and support and for all her hard work to make things happen.
All The Glory to Him!!
