Recently, five members of the worship team ventured to the far away land of Texas to experience the Gateway Worship and Leadership Conference.
The Conference consists of two different emphasis tracks for both worship teams and leaders. They give resources, insight and teaching into many areas of ministry. We found it to be incredibly inspirational and felt refreshed and excited to grow in these areas.
“It was amazing to see how this ministry does everything in excellence and extremely high quality,” says Paul Limones, “yet they have mastered it all in such a way that all distractions are put aside and the focus is only on Jesus, despite all the technical and theatrical aspects of their services and worship sets.”
I found it really helpful to finally bring some of our team with me to experience another level of ministry. Gateway is an extremely large church and while they operate on another level entirely, they offer a glimpse of many areas of leadership in their church that have helped shape our worship ministry and leadership here at Valley. Natasha Limones said, “It was so refreshing to listen to the recurring theme about building intimacy with God in almost all the messages given throughout the conference.”
We were able to debrief and discuss how the conference impacted us individually and what we can bring back to inspire and equip the rest of our team. It was also really fun re-connecting with Andrew Martinez and his wife Mandy who used to be a part of our worship ministry at here at Valley, but who now live in Texas.
Thanks for the prayers and to everyone who filled in while we were away!
