At Valley Christian, we exist to become the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:23
IN SPIRIT SPEAKS TO THE MOTIVATION OF WORSHIP – EXTRAVAGANT LOVE.
IN TRUTH SPEAKS TO THE PERVASIVENESS OF THE HUMAN WILL TO SURRENDER TO THE WILL OF GOD – RADICAL SURRENDER.
True worship requires both extravagant love and radical surrender. Extravagant love speaks the motivations and longings of one soul. It is possible to confess faith, attend a church service and even obey the Scriptures and not be in love of the Father. Radical surrender occurs when a person freely and gladly aligns themselves to the path God has created for them.
The distinguishing mark of God’s people is that they would gather regularly to worship Him. The rest of the world may live life each week according to their own needs and preferences, but we aspire to create space that puts God first. God longs to manifest Himself to His people; He is looking for hungry and open people who come not to get, but to give.
We desire to embrace the scriptures as a rule of life and guide for this world. We study not to learn about God but to know Him, hear from Him, feel Him and enjoy Him. We exist to lead others in all-out, uncompromised worship of God.
From its humble beginnings, the school has consistently been about one thing: Valley Christian aims to impact the world for Christ through Christian education. We view Christian education as a means to love, equip, and send young people into the world with faith, wisdom, and a heart for service.
Valley Christian Schools is missional, serving both Christian and non-Christian students. Our students are on a journey as they explore God’s world, discover His ways, think on His design, and become the kind of worshipers the Father seeks: young men and women of faith.
Service is about sacrifice; it is not always convenient or easy. It is about commitment and requires dependability and responsibility. Serving is about relationship; it connects us to others by providing care, encouragement and hope.
We believe serving is a key ingredient in living a daily life of worship (honor and obedience) toward God. We have a God-provided conduit to hundreds of ways to serve those in need in our local cities and neighborhoods. What a beautiful relief from our own worries, ambitions and self-focus – to put our minds, hands and hearts in action for the benefit of others!
Church does not end with the Sunday service, but continues in the regular fellowship of our people. To become a strong community of faith, we create settings where we walk honestly with others.
Authentic biblical community involves the study of God’s word, a devotion to fellowship, engaging in worship and prayer, providing service and support for one another. Through our groups, we aspire to capture these sentiments; that through this fellowship, our stories become even more intertwined with His story.
Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand. It is the greatest gift anyone can give.
